Reclaiming Self-Worth & Confidence | Online Therapy in Canada

Do you often question yourself, struggle to trust your decisions, or feel like your worth depends on what you achieve, give, or do for others?

Low self-worth can quietly shape every area of life from relationships and boundaries to career choices and emotional well-being. Therapy can help you reconnect with your inherent worth, strengthen self-trust, and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

How Low Self-Worth Develops

Self-worth is often shaped through our earliest relationships and experiences. When love, approval, or acceptance felt conditional, many people learn to measure their value through achievement, caregiving, perfectionism, or meeting the expectations of others.

Over time, these patterns can become deeply ingrained, leading to chronic self-doubt, harsh self-criticism, difficulty setting boundaries, and a constant feeling of not being "good enough."

People-pleasing and over-accommodating others

Difficulty trusting your own decisions

Fear of disappointing people

Perfectionism and self-criticism

Comparing yourself to others

Feeling responsible for everyone else's needs

Guilt when prioritizing yourself

Recognizing these signs is the first step. With therapy, you can begin to understand these patterns and gently heal the roots of your pain — so you can live with confidence, calm, and healthier connections.

How Therapy Can Help

Therapy can help you understand the origins of your self-doubt and begin developing a more compassionate, grounded relationship with yourself.

Reduce self-criticism and perfectionism

Build healthier boundaries

Develop greater emotional resilience

Learn to prioritize your needs without guilt

Create a more stable sense of self-worth that isn't dependent on external validation

Healing self-worth isn't about becoming someone different. It's about reconnecting with the value that was already there.

Meet Your Childhood Trauma Therapist

Divya Gulati, trauma-informed therapist helping adults rebuild self-worth, self-trust, and healthier relationships.

I’m Divya Gulati, a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCPA) with over 12 years of experience helping high-achieving adults heal self-worth wounds, people-pleasing patterns, perfectionism, and attachment-related challenges.

My own journey of navigating and breaking free from toxic relationship patterns has deeply shaped the way I work. I know what it’s like to feel unseen, dismissed, and burdened by old family dynamics — and I also know that healing is possible.

In therapy, I bring a trauma-informed, attachment-based approach that blends Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), psychodynamic insights, and nervous-system regulation. Together, we’ll not only uncover the root causes of anxiety, burnout, and people-pleasing but also build lasting self-trust, emotional freedom, and healthier relationships.

If you’re ready to stop repeating the past and step into a calmer, more authentic version of yourself, I’d be honored to walk this healing journey with you.

When I am not working, I love to paint, do yoga, enjoy being in nature, spend time with family and friends, and travelling.

Online Therapy Group

Heal in Community, Grow Together

While individual therapy offers deep personal healing, group therapy can provide a unique opportunity to practice new ways of relating in a supportive community.

I'm currently exploring small online therapy groups for adults who struggle with people-pleasing, self-doubt, over-giving, perfectionism, low self-worth, and unhealthy relationship patterns.

In a safe, therapist-led environment, you'll have the opportunity to:

✓ Build healthier boundaries

✓ Strengthen self-worth and self-trust

✓ Practice authentic connection

✓ Learn from shared experiences

✓ Reduce feelings of isolation and shame

✓ Develop healthier relationship patterns

Groups will be intentionally kept small (6–8 participants) to create a supportive and meaningful experience.
