Your Questions, Answered
It’s completely normal to have questions before starting therapy. Below are some of the most common ones. If something’s still unclear, I’d love to hear from you directly.
I often work with clients healing from narcissistic relationships, attachment wounds, complex trauma, and burnout. Many of my clients are sensitive, introspective individuals who are ready to deepen their self-trust and stop repeating old patterns.
My work is integrative, meaning I draw from several models depending on your needs. This includes:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for attachment healing
Internal Family Systems (IFS) to work with protective/wounded parts
Psychodynamic therapy to understand root causes and unconscious patterns
Inner Child Work to reparent and soothe younger parts of you
Somatic and Mind-Body Practices to support nervous system regulation
Each session is trauma-informed and paced with care.
Currently, I offer online therapy only, which allows for greater flexibility and accessibility. You can attend sessions from the comfort of your home using a secure video platform.
I’m registered to see residents of Ontario as a Regsitered Psychotherapist and unregulated provinces in Canada namely: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut as a Certified Canadian Counsellor.
I do not bill insurance directly, but receipts are provided for clients to submit for reimbursement. Many insurance plans cover Registered Psychotherapists in Ontario and as as a Certified Canadian Counsellor in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut as a Certified Canadian Counsellor.
Please check with your provider to confirm your coverage.
The first session is about getting to know each other. We’ll explore what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping to shift, and begin to co-create a space that feels safe, attuned, and grounded in your pace.
No pressure to go too deep too fast. We go slow, with care.
Most clients start with weekly sessions, especially early on. Some choose to move to biweekly or monthly as things progress. We can adjust based on your goals, energy, and financial needs.
Yes. Everything we discuss in therapy is confidential, with the exception of legal and ethical limits (e.g., risk of harm to self/others, or if required by court order). I will always explain these limits clearly at the beginning of our work together.
I completely understand. Many of my clients have been through therapy that felt rushed, surface-level, or invalidating. My practice is built on deep listening, trust, and creating a therapeutic relationship where you feel seen—not managed. You are always in charge of your pace, your boundaries, and your healing.
